Community Initiatives Coordinator
As Community Initiatives Coordinator, Sarah Lee serves as the leader to more than 250 volunteers ranging in age from 5 to 95 years old. In her role, Sarah manages all aspects of Volunteer services including Friendly Visitors, meal/grocery delivery, trash valet, events and more.
In addition to her primary role with Village by the Shore, Sarah coordinates community involvement activities spanning from food drives to toy collections to Mitzvah projects. She utilizes her strong organization skills and creativity to ensure JFS volunteers have a meaningful and fun experience, whether stocking pantry shelves or spending time with Village members.
Prior to joining the team at JFS, Sarah worked as the Children’s and Youth Director at St. Peter’s UMC in Ocean City. She also served as the Volunteer Coordinator for OCNJ C.A.R.E. (Clean Up and Recovery Effort) post Superstorm Sandy.
Recognizing the importance of giving back in the community, Sarah remains extremely active outside the agency. She is extremely active with her church and volunteers on the core committee for the Ocean City After Prom.
Sarah holds a Master’s Degree from Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and two children.
